The performance of the driver is disappointing from a distance perspective. This is a great driver weighted perfectly for me. Hmmm, higher average ball speeds and longer overall distance.

Graphics may be worn off in places and paint may have worn away. Typical scratches from heavy use but no imperfections that will affect performance. Paint may have a small scratch or chip, but they will be barely visible.

However a combination of the forgiveness and adjustability of the Big Bertha and the aerodynamic speed of the Optiforce would be perfect, so expect that next from Callaway. It's solid enough off the tee and about average for me at around the mark but it proved to be a good five yards shorter than the Alpha. Perfect sharp grooves with scoring lines and paint fully intact. Normal scratches from shot impacts that will not affect performance.

Given the choice I would probably go with the Big Bertha because the head is larger than the cc Optiforce and the shaft is a more manageable length. Normal scratches from a couple of seasons of use. Felt like a mishit every time. The result is that Big Bertha has remarkable sliding weight and hosel adjustability in a total head weight of only grams.

The head feels light during the swing and explosive off the face. Yep, you really get all that. These clubs have seen normal use usually several seasons but are in better than average shape for that particular model club.

It all amounts to longer, straighter shots. Normal scratches and nicks from rubbing other clubs that affect appearance, but not the playability of the club. These clubs have been used but not abused.

The silver face contrasts well with the dark crown and there is an alignment Callaway chevron on the crown of the standard version which is not on the Alpha, if you like that sort of thing. Callaway says it's Bertha Long, but for me, it didn't really deliver in the distance stakes. So I would have to say that Big Bertha is definitely back and either Callaway Big Bertha model is worthy of your serious consideration, ni-imaq for usb camera driver even if they are both on the pricey side.
